As a 30-year Registered Nurse and recently a patient of Dr. Lea Blackwell, I believe her to be the most compassionate, caring physician I’ve known, with a bedside manner that makes one feel like a VIP family member! She greeted me with open arms and a warm heart. She listens attentively to concerns, spending necessary time to be well-informed while thoroughly answering questions. She follows up with her patients by making phone calls herself. Her office staff is exceptional.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have received a special surprise and gift on the morning of my surgery: a surgical bra that Dr. Blackwell designed and made for the comfort, support, and ease of patients throughout their recovery. My bra had a bright uplifting color made from lightweight soft Italian material that had external pockets to conveniently hold either drains or ice packs. It quickly dried after washing and was very comfortable to sleep in.

Dr. Blackwell exceeds her reputation as an expert breast surgeon by delivering exceptional outcomes in terms of surgical skill and pathological accuracy, while minimizing scarring and pain. She ensures a comprehensive team approach for follow-up care, providing a wide variety of support services necessary to navigate towards full recovery and restored health. I feel incredibly blessed and thankful that she was my breast surgeon. As a health professional, I hope to emulate her kind, caring supportive way while delivering the highest level of competence.
